Now in its seventh year, the Red Hat EMEA Partner Awards recognise the achievements partners have brought to the Red Hat ecosystem over the year and their ongoing commitment to further develop open source technology.
Winners are recognised across a number of categories and Red Hat’s belief in nurturing strong partnerships inspired this year’s ‘Stronger Together’ award, which was presented at the annual EMEA Partner Event in Frankfurt last month.
Tier 2 Consulting was delighted to receive the award alongside fellow collaborators Softcat (a leading provider of IT infrastructure to the corporate and public sectors) and LinuxIT (a UK open source software specialists). During the past year the three companies have collaborated on several projects, bringing added value to open source and the Red Hat partner ecosystem.
Reflecting on the award, Tier 2 MD Andy Kennedy said “The nature of the Red Hat partnership program is important for service delivery partners like Tier 2 – and the Premier Partner status is about proven skills and services, giving customers confidence that we know what we are doing in the Red Hat world – the fact that as of now Tier 2 is the only Premier Middleware Partner in the UK&I shows that this is not an easy award to get.
It follows that any collaborative work we undertake with complementary partners must add value to customer experience, and so the choice of partner becomes a critical success factor in these scenarios.
The ‘Open for Business’ initiative which Softcat brought to the table was a great demonstration of dovetailing skills and abilities. LinuxIT and Tier 2 have worked together before this initiative – so we know this type of quality collaboration works, and with Softcat involved we believe this has been taken to another level.”
