SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS FOR THE INSURANCE SECTOR

Accurate, data-rich policies. Fast.

In the London Insurance market, ARENA/Insurance has been deployed as a real-time ‘business production tool’ supporting interactions between brokers and underwriters, where the contract-class documentation that has to be created as part of the process leading up to binding a risk, and reporting on data captured during that process.

ARENA/Insurance currently supports two main use cases:

Open Market – allowing niche brokers to place insurance business quickly and efficiently within the London Insurance Market. It is particularly targeted at lines of business (risk classes) that are typically high-volume / low margin for the broker, so that:

  • Cost of processing these risks is greatly reduced;
  • The accuracy / quality of the documents produced at each step is extremely high;
  • Mandatory Lloyds reporting is provided by default.

Binding Authority– this interaction is allowing an authorised broker to bind risks on behalf of the underwriter, generate the required certificate documentation and output data in an approved format (e.g. a Bordereau report).  The system provides configurable ‘checks and balances’ to ensure that the Binding Authority cannot bind outside agreed limits, and refers those risks to the underwriter for approval.

Tier 2 ARENA deployment for Insurance markets. Facilitates the creation of Contract Class documentation within a Submit - Quote - Bind framework

The key to both use cases is the ARENA/Insurance ability to securely support multiple brokers / binding authorities, and multiple risk classes.

In addition to these solutions, ARENA/Control is being used by insurance brokers to make documentation available to their agents and underwriters. These more ‘classic’ deployments of ARENA demonstrate its secure, permission-based web application characteristics.

Technical Implementation

ARENA/Insurance is a JEE development deployed within Red Hat JBoss Webserver or JBoss EAP.

exari-logo ARENA/Insurance is tightly integrated with Exari’s DocGen assembly engine to provide document assembly functionality.
