Tier 2 ARENA is based on the JBoss Enterprise Middleware platform - enterprise-class open source software to build, deploy, integrate, orchestrate, and present web applications and services in a Service-Oriented Architecture.

Interview-driven document control
As an optional extra, ARENA can control documents created by the Exari document control engine, thus providing a basis for documents to be created purely via a web-based interview. This seamless integration not only provides a controlling wrapper around the document control process, but also saves individual answers in a secure relational database, providing opportunities for enhanced management reporting.
Database Support
All ARENA data - structured document information ('meta-data') and the documents themselves are stored in a standard relational database, thus enabling centralised security and backup. ARENA currently supports Oracle, MS SQL Server, and the open-source MySQL RDBMS products.
